It’s so easy (especially on a corner lot) to get fed up with the dog doodoo that ends up on your property (and unfortunately with the dog owners who allow it to happen.)
But this person has taken matters into their own hands, in a courteous way, while also giving the (valid) reason: that their baby wanders all over every square inch of that lawn.
Hopefully this approach will encourage those who ARE perhaps a little negligent of their dog’s activities to think twice.
Maybe it just comes down to stopping for a second and getting a little more in touch with how clean and beautiful our community really is!
As one who walks every square inch of this neighbourhood, it's obvious the effort everyone puts into the appearance of their property. And when you think of other neighbourhoods you drive by in your life where the feeling you’re left with is, “OMG I’m glad this isn’t my neighbourhood”, you start to think of the privilege it is to be able to share the community with like minded people, who care about the kind of 'nice house & lawn stuff' that you do.
Alright, so in addition to this friendly neighbourhood lamp post sign, here's another little formal news flash announcement for those who need it: The brown, smelly lawn ornaments don’t count in the landscaping beautification department.
