Kids Everyday Giving Idea #1
Mow your neighbours’ lawn
I know I know! That one couldn't be more obvious :) but then again... did u bring the kids last time?
We all know involving kids in "chores" sometimes feels like it ends up taking too much time to even be worth it. But when the chore is for someone else, it somehow magically turns into fun,
unrushed time to just hang out with each other.
If children are too young for the mowing, not a problem -- they shouldn't be too upset settling for sporting their super-cool super-powered gardening gloves to expedite some breakneck weed pulling or garbage/recycling that's blown onto the property.
Whether the folks next door are in town, or the 'lawnicure' will be a surprise when they get home, after ALL that work to beautify the yard (i.e. during snack break...), crafting-up a note or card (elaborately decorated of course!) is def in order, letting the neighbs know you've been over
(followed of course by kids wanting to do the honours of
running up to the door and popping it in the mailbox!)
Not only is the card another little surprise for your cool neighbours,
it represents an imaginary 'Good Deed' badge kids get to wear around for the day :)
Now high fives for turning a little work into a bit of wisdom for the wee folks :)
Share the warm fuzzy feelings/reactions/convos with your kids that resulted in the comments? (yer awesome).
